Audius is a decentralized music sharing and streaming protocol designed to facilitate direct transactions between listeners and creators, enabling everyone to freely distribute, commercialize and stream any audio content.
AUDIO tokens are the native tokens of the network, and are mainly used for the following purposes:
By staking tokens, running discovery nodes or content nodes, users can obtain higher fan discovery possibilities and a portion of network fees;
br> By locking tokens, unlock more exclusive features and services, such as artist tokens and badges, etc., and gain voting rights for fans who want to share their success;
Participate in protocol governance voting to make future iterations of the protocol contribute.
The agreement consists of the following main components:
Content Nodes: a network of nodes run by users to host content on behalf of artists and control access permissions;
Content Ledger: a repository of all data accessible within the Audius Protocol A single source of truth that anchors references to content stored by content nodes;
Discovery Nodes: a network of user-operated nodes that index the Audius content ledger and provide an easy-to-query interface for retrieving meta data.
