MANTA is Manta Network’s native utility token used for:

Governance: MANTA token holders can vote on network management decisions for Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic.

Targeting: MANTA positioning helps ensure the overall security of the Manta Atlantic network.

Proofreading entrustment: MANTA holders can choose to entrust their held shares to a collation provider, or host MANTA with their own collation provider to ensure network security.

Network usage fees: Manta Atlantic uses MANTA to pay transaction fees.

Native Liquidity and Collateral: MANTA tokens can be used as native liquidity and collateral within Manta ecosystem services.

The agreement consists of the following main parts that work together:

Modular Data Availability: Call data for each transaction is processed by Celestia, significantly reducing the cost of processing each transaction on Manta Pacific.

Permissionless smart contracts: Projects on Manta Pacific can be deployed using Solidity-based smart contracts that are compatible with the EVM environment.

Universal Circuits: Developers can build ZK-enabled applications with Manta Pacific's Universal Circuits, which provides a library of universal precompiled ZK circuits for different use cases, including DeFi, GameFi, identity recognition, and more.

zkEVM Proof: Use ZK proofs to conduct batch verification of transactions to ensure encryption-level security.

The project has raised $60.4 million through private and public token sales. In the private token sale, 24.11% of MANTA tokens were sold at prices between $0.025 and $0.5/MANTA, while in the public sale, 8% of MANTA tokens were sold at $0.36/MANTA.
