TREE aims to be a profit engine for funding charitable causes. TREE is the first project of WhalerDAO. The TREE token has an elastic supply, and its supply will vary according to its demand in order to maintain a roughly constant price. Every 12 hours, TREE checks its price against DAI. If it is above the peg (1 DAI), then additional TREE tokens are minted. 10% of the minted TREE will be distributed to Uniswap’s liquidity providers, 10% will be used for charitable funds, and 80% will be sold into DAI and sent to the reserve. These weights can be adjusted through governance. TREE tokens are also governance tokens to decide which charities to give charitable funds to.
