BarnBridge is a volatility derivative protocol.
The $BOND token will be the governance token of the system, giving $BOND holders the right to vote on updates to the platform. Combined with governance mechanisms and incentive holders, it will serve as a means of aligning the different stakeholders in the system. $BOND will also be used as a security and policy management medium. The key to the success of DeFi protocols lies in the automated governance of decentralized incentives to incentivize participants and enable security, sustainability, and participant welfare.
BarnBridge DAO will be a DAO controlled by the $BOND community. The BarnBridge DAO will have full control over the protocol and its built-in functionality. We do this by using the Diamond Standard (EIP-2535), which allows us to upgrade the protocol without requiring all members to delete their tokens and switch to version 2 of the protocol when it emerges. The BarnBridge DAO will have full control over Diamond, allowing amazing flexibility in the WEB3 space.
$BOND is an ERC-20 token. It will be used in the staking system and as a governance token when the governance module is launched. Because it is ERC-20 compliant, the $BOND token can be traded on any exchange and stored in any wallet - allowing anyone in the world to access it.
