BTC2 is a fork of BTC (Bitcoin), which was generated in the New York consensus in May 2017, using SW (segregated witness) and 2M methods. Previously traded on exchanges under the name BT2. The mining method of BTC2 has changed from the original ASIC mining to GPU mining, and the mining algorithm has been modified to completely eliminate the ProgPOW algorithm of ASIC. The block size is still 2M, supports SegWit, and has joined the two-way replay attack protection that the community strongly calls for. The new Bitcoin contract was successfully forked on December 27, 2017, at the Bitcoin height of 494784 and has been in stable operation since then.
