Earthcoin is a global cryptocurrency based on the scrypt algorithm released in Toronto, Canada on December 20, 2013, and is committed to sustainable and fair development. The total amount of earth coins is 13.5 billion, with 365 days as a cycle, starting with 10,000 coins per block, and a sinusoidal change with an amplitude of 2000.
Blockchain parameters:
Scrypt hash algorithm
Proof of work (POW) mining
60 seconds to block the target
Each block Difficult to relocate after block (+167%, -91%)
The total number of coins will reach 13.5 billion coins (theoretically unlimited, because the smallest block reward is 1 EAC, but in practice in the next will not exceed 13.5*10^9 in 2000 years)
50 confirmations per minted block
5 confirmations per transaction
support transaction information
initial block reward 10,000 EAC on average, depending on the season (currently 625 EAC)
Block payouts are halved every year, with a minimum payout of 1 EAC per block
Superblocks every 14 and 31 days
> The default port is 35677 (P2P network) and 15678 (RPC call, optional)
1. Transaction speed
The mechanism behind Earthcoin is based on peer-to-peer, allowing transactions to proceed very quickly. This means that once you pay or get paid with Earthcoin, the time to see the transfer is equal to or sometimes faster than a normal debit card. Earthcoin facilitates transaction times of around 30 seconds, when in practice it is closer to 10-15 seconds, which is considered instant today. The real advantage behind this speed is the ability to use it in any store in the near future with a speed that feels the same as the currency you hold today.
2. Security
In mid-2017, the Earthcoin network was 51% attacked and controlled by a group of hackers. Over several months, due to the tireless efforts of the community, the attack was thrown back and EarthCoin was returned to all users. The source code was then fixed to prevent similar attacks in the future, and a unique protection against time travel attacks was implemented. EarthCoin codes are now more secure than most other cryptocurrencies.
During the first half of 2019, a major upgrade was made to the Earthcoin network and security features were implemented based on the current blockchain protocols of the Bitcoin and Litecoin networks.
