Project roles

User
The user is the user who uploads files using the client. Users can directly participate in data storage and retrieval through the Filenet client (DApp). Storage and retrieval operations are free for users.
Server
The server is the miner. Miners provide storage resources, store data, provide users with data retrieval and distribution, and obtain income by being retrieved and used.
The miners store the user's data, generate a distribution certificate according to a specific time and submit it to the blockchain network to prove the amount of data distribution and activity during this period. Filenet rewards are obtained based on the distribution volume in the entire network. If the certificate cannot be provided or the certificate is invalid, the reward cannot be obtained.
Miners store user data and report their running status to the blockchain network intermittently. When users retrieve data, Filenet will retrieve data according to network status and device status. If miners cannot report the current status within the specified time or If the status is false, it may affect the income of miners. To obtain data resources, miners need to continuously provide their own space, bandwidth, and running status. These parameters are stored together in a table, which we call the miner's trust table. Filenet will allocate data according to the trust situation. If the data capacity is small but the frequency of use is high, we will save it in the miner's equipment with a stable network environment; if the data capacity is large but the frequency of use is low, we will save it in a large space. In large equipment; if the miner equipment fails or the environment is unstable, Filenet will reduce the amount of data distribution.
