Open Campus is a Web3 education protocol platform. Teachers and creators can use tokens to recognize and own the educational content they produce and use it for profit. The project's mission is to encourage teachers' contributions to society and to give full recognition, and to provide a global alternative learning system for students around the world.
The mission is to ensure that teachers' contributions to society are recognized and to provide a global alternative education system for learners around the world.
EDU is the native utility token of the Open Campus (EDU) ecosystem and is used for the following functions:
Governance: EDU token holders can submit and vote on DAO proposals for the protocol (e.g., to guide distribution use of tokens for the ecosystem).
Payment: EDU can be used as a payment method for products and services provided by companies adopting the protocol (such as TinyTap, where % of the proceeds will be allocated to the protocol).
On-chain revenue sharing: Contributors (including content creators, publishers, and platforms) receive a share of protocol revenue in EDU.
User Acquisition: EDU can be used to incentivize and guide web2 users to web3 as they can receive discounts when accessing products offered by protocol ecosystem partners such as TinyTap.
Content ownership: Users can purchase co-publishing rights through Publisher NFT and EDU.
TinyTap is the first participant of Open Campus. It allows users to create their own educational content and classes without coding. There are already more than 250,000 interactive courses. It is the top ten children's mobile application with the highest total revenue on the App Store and Google Play. It has been used by more than 9 million families and has more than 100,000 creators. Publisher cooperation.
TinyTap, one of the leaders in user-generated content in the $5 trillion education market, is known for its no-code authoring platform and has produced over 250,000 interactive lessons to date.
Open Campus provides infrastructure for users in different fields such as schools, technology education platforms and other educators, so that they can bring educational content to students around the world:
Deposit: Tokens will be used in various ways ( e.g. wallets, tokens as a payment method, and discounts/incentives) introduce users of Open Campus adopters (e.g. TinyTap) to drive adoption.
Publisher NFTs: Educational content and courses can be tokenized into NFTs, and the income generated by the content will be distributed to creators, NFT holders and other contributors through smart contracts.
Educational Content Marketplace: Participants in this project, such as PublisherNFTs on TinyTap, can buy and sell content in EDU.
Smart Giving: Enables EDU grants and scholarships to be awarded based on measurable on-chain events.
The project raised $6M in a private token sale round in 2022, representing 6% of the total supply of EDU tokens, with an FDV of ~$100M.
