pBTC (ERC-777) is a BTC-anchored currency issued on Ethereum through pTokens.
pBTC is a BTC-anchored currency issued by pTokens, compatible with Ethereum and EOS. The "p" in pTokens stands for Provable, Portable, and Pegged, but it has nothing to do with Fulcrum's pTokens, MakerDAO's PETH and PEOS.one.
You can deposit your real BTC through the pTokens dApp, and mint the corresponding amount of ERC-777 pBTC, no intermediate fees are charged at this stage.
pBTC is currently supported by Kyber, Bancor, Paraswap, 1inch and other DeFi products.
