Odaily News According to official news, the U.S. SEC announced that Scott Schneider, advisor to Genlser and director of the Office of Public Affairs (OPA), and Sanjay Wadhwa, acting director of the Enforcement Division, are about to leave. It is reported that Sanjay Wadhwa has served in the SEC for 21 years and has served as acting director of the Enforcement Division since October 2024. Prior to that, he served as deputy director of the department since August 2021. During his tenure, Wadhwa oversaw the filing of more than 2,600 enforcement actions, ultimately ordering the recovery of more than $20 billion in illegal gains, prejudgment interest and civil penalties, and returning billions of dollars to harmed investors. Scott Schneider served as chief communications advisor to Chairman Gensler, and as director of OPA, led the Commissions external communications strategy, media relations, rulemaking and enforcement communications, digital strategy, SEC.gov updates, and internal communications affairs.
